WebbThis guy nailed it. I did two treks at Philmont back when I was a scout and wouldn't change anything about this list. As far as packs, just go to an REI, assuming you have access, and tell them you are doing a 10 day trek at Philmont, you'll resupply every 4 days, need a 65-70 L pack and that can carry 35-40 lbs without issue, and try on a ton of loaded packs.
