Webb17 juli 2024 · I remembered seeing this video where I first learned about the technique of using CA Glue (Cyanoacrylate Glue aka Super Glue, Krazy Glue etc.) to essentially “clamp” or hold the piece tightly in place while the wood glue or some other type of significantly stronger, but slower curing glue sets up. With polyurethane glues, you need water activation for it to work. Once you apply this glue in wood joints, it will start to cure and expands. WebbOnly takes a couple of minutes to set up. You can shoot it in 30 min. (but the bond is cured fully overnight). A superb adhesive for bonding vanes, feathers or nocks to any type of arrow shafts like aluminum, carbon, wood or glass shafts. Let the wood cool to room temperature before applying the CA glue. If the wood is still warm from sanding, the heat will act as an accelerator for the glue. Store the CA glue in a closed container in a cool (not cold) place.
